Seahawks’ Marshawn Lynch Gets a Two-Year Extension

nfl_u_beats_cr_576x32440028-year-old running back Marshawn Lynch – who has proved invaluable to the Seattle Seahawks’ in the last two Super Bowl games, including 102 yards rushing and a touchdown in 2015 – just signed a two-year, multi-million dollar extension with the team.

At the end of the best season of his career, with 17 touchdowns to his name, Lynch signed a restructured contract that will earn him $12 million, according to his agent.  He rushed for 1,306 yards in the regular season and added another 318 yards in three postseason games.

“Seahawks sign RB (Lynch) to 2-year extension through 2017 season,” confirmed the team’s official Twitter account.
