The annual Met Gala is one of the year’s biggest and highest-profile events for the rich & famous. Last night, celebs came out in full force in New York City to celebrate and benefit, “China: Through The Looking Glass” – the newest fashion exhibit at the Metropolitan Museum of Art’s Costume Institute. The red carpet was awash with tons of wild, glamorous and bizarre outfits.
Fashion-forward stars who attended the benefit gala included Jennifer Lawrence, Katy Perry, Sienna Miller, Cara Delevingne, Lupita Nyong’o, Rita Ora, Anne Hathaway, Kate Hudson, Sarah Jessica Parker, Reese Witherspoon, Julianne Moore, Mary Kate & Ashely Olsen, Jessica Chastain – to name just a few.
Kim Kardashian walked the red carpet with husband Kanye West wearing a magnificent crystallized creation by Peter Dundas for Roberto Cavalli – a new job for the well-known designer.
Kim’s little sister Kendall, a major model in her own right, wore a stunning green minimalist Calvin Klein dress – fitting since she is the new face of the brand.
JLo, co-chair of the event, rocked a revealing red asymmetrical Dior gown.
Never one to disappoint, Rihanna stunned audiences when she arrived in an enormous yellow gown created by Chinese couture designer Guo Pei. Rihanna said she found the dress online, and the designer had spent two years making it.
Beyonce turned heads in a very revealing Givenchy gown strategically decorated with thousands of crystals.
