Coming in the wake of the success of “Star Wars Rebels” is the LEGO-animated Star Wars miniseries, to be released at the end of 2015, reports The Hollywood Reporter.
The six-part series, titled “Lego Star Wars: Droid Tales,” will revisit all of the original and prequel Star Wars films, from the point of view of C-3PO and R2-D2. The show has been acquired by the Disney Corporation for its own TV channel.
In 2014, the LEGO Group released its first feature film, The LEGO Movie, which not only proved to be a critical success but earned more than $468 million. Since then, several LEGO films and television products have been released and planned.
